Installing and using the Mighty Adsense plugin on your Wordpress Blog

The installation and use of the Mighty Adsense in your blog Wordpress plugin


Introduction - 

This tutorial shows you step by step on how to install the Mighty Adsense plugin in your WordPress blog.  
We are going to install this plugin in WordPress 2.3, so if you have an old version of WordPress, although probably not cause any problem, it is advisable to update before you follow this tutorial. You can find instructions on how to update your blog from WordPress to the latest version here - http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress

What we need to: 

Install a WordPress blog
An FTP client (FileZilla is free and easy to use - http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/)
A copy of the Mighty Adsense Plugin (download link below)
About 15 minutes of your time to install, and about 30 minutes from time to learn how to use it.

Allows you to begin.

Step 1 - 

Download and unzip the Mighty Adsense Plugin

Take a look at the page of the authors, the new updates or important announcements with regard to the installation of the plugin will be here.

**Note** you will find an important notice about using the Mighty Adsense plugin and through Post extracts in its front page; 
 If you have full posts in your front page then don't worry about this, however, if you use Post excerpts from his front page you will want to read this part very carefully, and then install the extracts_reloaded plugin, More information can be found here on this topic - http://mightyhitter.com/mightyadsense-41-and-the_excerpt-reloaded.html
You only need to follow these instructions extras if you currently use Post excerpts on the Front Page, if you don't know what this means, it is likely that you don't have to worry about, just follow the rest of these installation instructions as normal.**Final Note**

Scroll down the page to find a set of links which will look like this: 






The most current version will be the top (4.1) at the time of writing what you want to pass your mouse over the link, right click and select "Save target as..." to download to your machine


Now that you have downloaded the zip file on the desktop (or where ever it was downloaded) Double click on the file and decompress with your utility Windows file can decompress zip files)



Step 2 - Load the Mighty Adsense plugin for your Wordpress blog. 


Open your FTP client and connect to your server/web host.
Go to the folder of WordPress, and find the wp-content/plugins folder.
Now load the Mighty Adsense folder on your local computer to the plugins folder on your website.




Step 3: Install and configure the plugin Adsense Mighty


A - First session in your administration panel of WordPress, and go to the Plugins tab

Once you have reached here, you should see a list of both on and off the plugins. Even if you have never raised or install a plugin on your WordPress blog before, there will still be other plugins here that cannot recognize. Cont worry, are simply the plugins that came with your Wordpress installation, all you need to look for is the Mighty plugin Adsense.  
  Simply click on the activation link next to your plugin and now has mighty Adsense installed!

B - Now we need to configure the plugin adding our Adsense code, and decide how our advertising will be shown. From the new Manager panel, go to the Options - > Mighty Adsense

Replace all the text in the code of ads with your Adsense code, as the screenshot below. You can also see a preview of the code of ads if you have done correctly.



You can use a different Adsense code for each ad, which allows you to have different Adsense blocks for different posts in your front page, and even different ads for different pages. Look at the following screen capture.



Thus, the first post on your blogs front page will contain code #1, and so on.  

After putting on your Adsense codes for each set of codes, you will want to set alignment, all ads will be aligned the same, so you may want to try different settings to see which suits you best. Here is mine, aligned with the upper left corner. 





Now that you have already installed Mighty Adsense and show your Adsense links, all you need to do is to begin to receive some more traffic!!
