KINSTA WEB HOSTING HOSTING REVIEW An Incredibly Easy Method That Works For All

Kinsta Review

Probably one of the best web hosting options if you go with WordPress, Kinsta offers a lot of ringtones for those who build their site with the most used CMS in the world. However, if you do not go with WP, you may want to give Kinsta a pass. Read all the details in our complete review.
I have wanted to write this review about my incredible experience with Kinsta. His managed WordPress hosting experience has been way above anything I have experienced in recent years. Not only from the point of view of speed but also from its excellent customer service. If you are looking for a high-performance WordPress host, these are the ones you want to choose. This is where I currently receive. Read my full review of Kinsta below.

Who is Kinsta?

Kinsta was founded by Mark Gavalda, a program developer and WP programmer. They have offices in London, Los Angeles, Budapest, and began offering accommodation to the public at the beginning of 2014 (founded in December 2013). They are no longer a newcomer when it comes to WordPress hosting, and are already outperforming their competitors when it comes to high-level performance. Features

Without a doubt, the best architecture
Kinsta is the first managed WordPress hosting company that works exclusively with the powerful new Google Cloud platform, which has automatic scaling, LXD containers and, of course, one of the largest networks on the planet. Because they use container technology, each WordPress site is completely isolated and does not share resources. Each container has its own Nginx, PHP, MySQL, etc. This is how hosting should be done!
Kinsta also uses the premium level network of Google Cloud Platform (non-standard) and offers the 16 data center locations, strategically located to offer the lowest latency.

18 server locations
Council Bluffs, Iowa, USA UU (Us-central1)
St. Ghislain, Belgium (europa-oeste1)
Changhua County, Taiwan (asia-este1)
Sydney, Australia (Australia-southeast1)
The Dalles, Oregon, USA UU (Us-west1)
Ashburn, Virginia, USA UU (Us-east4)
Moncks Corner, South Carolina, USA UU (Us-east1)
São Paulo, Brazil (southamerica-east1)
London, United Kingdom (europa-oeste2)
Frankfurt, Germany (europa-oeste3)
Jurong West, Singapore (asia-southeast1)
Tokyo, Japan (asia-northeast1)
Mumbai, India (asia-sur1)
Montreal (North America-northeast1)
The Netherlands (europa-oeste4)
Hamina, Finland (europa-norte1)
Los Angeles, California (us-west2)
Hong Kong (asia-este2)

Kinsta believes fully in the best architecture for hosting. The additional back-end architecture includes:

Nginx (an open source reverse proxy server for HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, POP3, and IMAP protocols, as well as a load balancer, HTTP cache, and a web server).

Ubuntu 16.04 (Linux kernel 4.4 supported for the long term, Python 3, OpenSSH 7.2p2 and Apt 1.2.)
PHP 7 (the last and excellent revision of PHP, PHP 7 is incredibly fast, in fact, it is three times faster than PHP 5.6, they also allow you to choose between PHP 5.6, 7, 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 in your control panel)
Full-page caching (performed at the server level for optimal performance, no caching add-ons needed)
Object Caching (optional, when using your premium Redis plug-in)
HTTP / 2 (the last and best protocol from HTTP / 1.1 HTTP / 2 has better multiplexing, parallelism, smaller headers and more, makes SSL faster).
MariaDB (an improved and direct replacement for MySQL)
Free DNS through Amazon Route 53 and DNS record management in the Kinsta control panel
Free SSL with the integration of Let's Encrypt
Monitoring of the application performance by New Relic. 1440 daily checks of availability per website! I do not know of any other host that offers this.
SSH, Git, and WP-CLI in all plans.

Features

Kinsta is designed for a single purpose: WordPress hosting ultra fast and secure. The feature set aligns with that, each adapted for speed or safety. You will not get benefits such as advertising credits, as with cheap web hosts, which shows that Kinsta is a serious WordPress host serving larger establishments.

The service is built through Google Cloud. That is the connectivity that links the Kinsta servers. The servers stay updated with the latest versions of the framework so you can be sure that your site is compatible, regardless of the development stack you use.

One of the benefits of hosting in the cloud is its flexibility. In the case of increased traffic, the cloud can allocate more resources without downtime or obstacles.

You can choose one of 16 Google Cloud data centers to host your site. Depending on your location and main audience, a strategic location could mean a large increase in speed.

There are also some security features. Kinsta offers a piracy guarantee, which means that, in case of default, Kinsta will scan and clean your site for free. We will talk more about the cleaning process in the security section below.

In addition, it has automatic daily backups, a free SSL certificate for each of its sites and periodic availability checks. Kinsta does not have a guarantee of uptime, anyway, there are many reasons not to trust a claim like that. In contrast, sites hosted with Kinsta are reviewed every five minutes to determine uptime.

The plans come with the staging of WordPress, which refers to a test site where you can play and try new things before starting to work. The test environment is maintained after the first publication so you can test the changes before moving them to the live site.

Kinsta is expensive. That's something we've seen with other WordPress managed cloud-based solutions, such as Pagely, too. Unlike Pagely, Kinsta offers a couple of budget options for beginners and individual users.

The start price more easily matches Bluehost, although the services are not the same. You will get more storage space and visits per month with Bluehost, although in a slower and less secure network.
We like that Kinsta offers economic plans where Pagely does not, but we can not understand why. It offers a starting point for fast and secure cloud hosting, but it does not make sense with the market that Kinsta serves.

It is better to use a WordPress plan in Bluehost or SiteGround, if you have a limited budget, as it will provide more storage space and visits, even if it costs a bit of speed.
Kinsta Business Plans

The business and company plans are where Kinsta takes his step. The number of WordPress installations, the storage space and the maximum number of monthly visitors varies according to the size of your invoice, but these plans are adapted to companies and resellers of WordPress, the area in which Kinsta focuses.

The limit of monthly visits is a limit and not a recommendation, as seen with SiteGround and HostGator. Kinsta charges $ 1 for 1,000 additional visits, as well as 10 cents per GB for CDN surpluses.

Kinsta's prices are not as high as those of Pagely. They finish off in the middle of the curve of that company. Kinsta is a solution focused on the company, so the high costs make sense. We just do not like how you get tired of everything else.

Server types and speed

Kinsta is designed for the Google Cloud platform, which means you only have access to the cloud hosting.

With regard to web hosting, the distinctive features of hosting in the cloud are speed and scalability. Google's fiber private network has more than 100 points of presence and 16 global data centers. Cloud hosting also brings with it redundancy, in case of an interruption or server failure.
We measure the use of Google Cloud of Kinsta with Bitcatcha. This tool loads the site, but only measures the response of the server and not the content. It is a more accurate way to test server speeds than a page speed test, since two sites hosted on the same platform could have different speeds, depending on the content.

For the tests, we use .com, one of the high profile clients that Kinsta has on their list. If you are not familiar with Intuit, it is the manufacturer of some of the best accounting programs.

Kinsta returned with an average response time of 28 milliseconds in the US. UU., The fastest domestic speeds we've seen on a web host. The closest competitor is iPage at 43 ms. This is an interesting comparison, since iPage ranks as our first choice for the best cheap web hosting.
International speeds, with an average of eight data points provided by Bitcatcha, submerged. Kinsta had an average response time of 212.4 ms, which is in the middle to high support in our reviews. DreamHost, for example, has an international speed of 161.8 ms, although a slower domestic performance

We use Load Impact to test a real-world situation for Kinsta. The tool sends 50 virtual users to the domain for five minutes and measures the response as the user's load increases. Kinsta was resistant throughout these tests, with most speed pings located within a few milliseconds of each other.
For a cloud-based solution, Kinsta is fast and consistent. The international speeds were not the fastest we have seen, but they are not horrible. We have not yet found a web server with the Kinsta home load times, which shows the power of Google Cloud.

Easy to use

Kinsta does not use cPanel, disqualifying it from our best web hosting with cPanel. If we could include other control panels, Kinsta would be the best among our considerations. The patented interface is designed for the use of WordPress, giving you a clear overview of your site without any strange options.

Security

Kinsta offers some of the best security features we've seen on a web server. As long as your site is hosted on Kinsta, the security team will work with you if your site is compromised. You get free daily backups and an SSL certificate, to start.

You have a security guarantee if your site is hacked. Kinsta will sweep your files, repair the WordPress kernel and remove any add-ons or infected themes. However, you are responsible for reinstalling those add-ons and themes.

Kinsta will also perform a full scan of your site before that. If you are migrating from another host, Kinsta will do a deep dive into your files to detect any malware. If there is one, a $ 100 removal fee applies, which is cheaper than most third-party repair services.

Kinsta seeks to fix any compromised site within one business day. Some more intensive jobs require multiple scans, which Kinsta will carry out for free. If your site is damaged beyond repair, Kinsta can restore it from a backup.

Each of your sites is backed up in the cloud daily. If you install something new, you can request that your backup is made after that, so that it can revert, in case of any problem. Additional backup copies can be purchased every six hours every hour, although the cost is high.

It is unlikely that your site will be compromised at the end of the server. In most cases, it will come from an outdated or badly coded theme or complement. Kinsta takes measures to prevent piracy as much as possible. As long as you stay updated with your add-ons and themes, it should be fine.
The combination of a free SSL certificate, hardware firewalls, and DDoS protection make up the server-side security suite. Kinsta even controls each of its sites for uptime every five minutes. Throughout the day, you have someone watching what is happening on your site.

Kinsta offers two-factor authentication (2FA) for your site, but only through a text message. It's better than not having 2FA, but we also wanted to see support for Authy or YubiKey. You can read our guide to the best 2FA applications to find out why SMS authentication is not the safest 2FA method.

Support for

Kinsta offers live chat and email support, as well as a knowledge base for DIY enthusiasts. The knowledge base and email are a fair game for anyone, while live chat is reserved for paying customers.
We arrived via email to measure the response time. We were impressed by how fast it was. In less than an hour, an agent returned with us, answering our question and providing some links to the topic in the knowledge base. Our response came before confirmation that Kinsta had received our submission form.
Kinsta tries a 24-hour window, but you may have to wait longer depending on how many questions are arriving.
There is no way to see your tickets. We would have liked to see Kinsta add a tab on the panel, so you can see the status of your tickets instead of using the email strictly.
If you need a faster contact form, Kinsta offers live chat in your control panel. It is not as concise as email support and there is no way to send a transcript by email. That is another feature that we would like to see added.
The verdict
Kinsta is one of the best ways to host WordPress. It is a receptive and easy to use service that provides excellent security and support. The price is high compared to WP's competitors such as Bluehost and SiteGround, but it's not hard to justify given the performance.

We recommend it for networks that need multiple sites or WordPress designers looking to provide efficient WordPress hosting for their clients. Unique sites with high traffic will see an improvement in performance in Kinsta, but those that start should go with a cheaper host.
