How We Improved Our POWTOON REVIEW: CREATE ANIMATED VIDEO WITHOUT ANIMATION SKILLS In One Week(Month, Day)
You've probably seen one of those cool animated flash presentations on YouTube and you thought: Wow, I want one of those animations ... But soon you discover that it's too expensive to make one, and making one yourself is simply impossible because there is no tool that let you do it ... right?
Well, you're wrong! Now you can do it yourself!
Once you have learned the five steps to "create an awesome Powtoon", you can create your own animated "animated cartoon" (Powtoon) using PowToon's amazing online presentation software.
Functionally, it's as easy as creating a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation, but there are some new things to keep in mind: (after reading this article, see our video tutorial:?
So here are the steps to create an impressive 90-second product demo clip:
Step 1: Script
You must create a script that describes what will happen in each "scene".
We recommend working with the following simple guidelines to create an attractive and captivating flow:
What problem do you or your product address?
How is frustration manifested? (Expensive, industrious, annoying, etc.)
Aggravate? the problem (for example, show what? utility? other solutions are there)
What is your solution, what are its benefits and why is it better?
CALL TO ACTION: try us, try us, buy.
Remember that when reading your newly created script without pauses, 90 seconds correspond to approximately 225 words! So before you finish your script, be sure to do a word count (and if I can give you another tip: SHORT THE SCRIP ONCE, then SHORTEN IT AGAIN).
Step 2: Voice-over guide / Background music
You must choose a background track for your music or record a voice-over guide. This means that you need an mp3 file of the TEXT PARTS of the script, as they will appear in the Powtoon. Do not worry, this does not have to be a professional voice over, it can be a basic thing, for now, it is mainly as a TIME guide.
Therefore, you can do it yourself (record on http://audioboo.fm/) or use online text for voice software. You can always hire a professional voice later to give your Powtoon a really polished sound, this can make a big difference for a relatively small investment (just place a GIG on the PowToon Marketplace for a voiceover).
Once you have your voice guidance down, all you need to do is upload it to PowToon and now you can add the images to the sound.
Step 3: Dividing the slides
Now you can start creating slides according to the script. Each slide represents a scene and an idea as described in the script. Try to keep your slides short, this way you can put a lot of interesting images in your Powtoon.
If you have a voiceover, you can make some of the words come alive by making them appear on the screen in time. You do not need to have every word that appears in the script on the stage, but choose important words to emphasize certain points.
Step 4: Fill the slides
Now it's time to add graphics, backgrounds, accessories, images, and characters to your slides. It is important to convey the message along with the graphic images and as little text as possible so that the audience does not have to be sitting reading all the time (unless this is the effect you are looking for) and do not feel overwhelmed with information.
For example: if the problem makes the main character sad, simply show the main character in a sad pose without adding any text.
Step 5: Time
Now you have to time everything. This is the last step and, in fact, it is one that can have a significant effect on the "professional" look and feel of your final result.
The PowToon timeline is designed to allow you to easily adjust the appearance and time of all the elements on the screen. Now you can listen to the voiceover that runs in the background and makes sure that all the visual elements reflect what you hear. The more accurate you get this; The more impressive the final result!
