Details of the scheme
Pradhan Mantri Jan- Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) is the National Mission for Financial Inclusion to
guarantee access to financial services, namely, bank / savings and deposit
accounts, remittances, credits, insurance, pensions in an affordable manner.
The account can be opened
in any bank branch or in a branch of Business Correspondent (Bank My TR ) . The accounts opened under PMJDY are opening with zero balance. However, if the account holder wishes to obtain a check book checks , must meet the minimum balance criteria.

An account can be opened by
presenting an officially valid document.
i. The passport,
ii. the permission of drive ,
iii. the Permanent Account Number Card (PAN),
iv. the voter's identity card issued by the Electoral Commission of
India,
v. work card issued by NREGA duly signed by an official of the State
Government,
vi. the letter issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India
containing details of the name, address and number of Aadhaar , or
vii. Any other document notified by the central government in
consultation with the regulator:

a. Identity card with photograph of the applicant issued by central /
state government departments, regulatory / regulatory authorities, public
sector companies, scheduled commercial banks and public financial institutions;
b. Letter issued by a official of Gazetted , with a duly certified photograph of the person.
The Reserve Bank of India
(RBI), in its Press Release of 26.08.2014, clarified that people who do not
have any of the "officially valid documents" can open "Small
Accounts" with banks. You can open a "Small Account" on the basis of an
authenticated photograph and put your signatures or fingerprints in the
presence of bank officials. Such accounts have limitations with respect to
aggregate credits (no more than one Rupees a lakh in one year), aggregate withdrawals (no more than ten thousand
Rupees in a month) and balance in the accounts (no more than fifty thousand
Rupees at any time )) . These accounts would normally be valid for a period of
twelve months. Thereafter, these accounts will be allowed to continue for an
additional 12-month period, if the account holder provides a document proving
that they have requested any of the officially valid Documents, within 12
months after the opening. of the small account.
Special benefits under the PMJDY scheme

The scheme provides life coverage of Rs. 30,000 / - to be paid in case of death of
the beneficiary, subject to compliance with the eligibility condition.

The beneficiaries of the government schemes will obtain direct
benefits transfers in these accounts.

After a satisfactory operation of the account for 6 months, an
overdraft facility will be allowed

Access to pensions, insurance products.

The Claim under Personal Accident Insurance under PMJDY will be
paid if the Cardholder Rupay You have made at least one
successful transaction induced by the customer or financial institution in any
bank branch, Bank Miter , ATM, POS, E-COM, etc. Channel both Intra and Interbanco, that is, on-us ( Transactions with the Bank customer / holder of
