The power of automation and the use of MailChimp to ConvertKit

The power of automation and the use of MailChimp to ConvertKit

A few months ago, I made a change in my email marketing campaigns. It was more than a simple change, it was a revision, which was led by the change from MailChimp to ConvertKit.

MailChimp and ConvertKit are excellent email options for small businesses, professional bloggers and marketing professionals. Honestly, you can not go wrong in any way.

But then ConvertKit came out with a new feature called visual automation, and that left me indifferent. So one by one, I moved all my email lists to your service.

Automations are an excellent tool to develop your creative business and can be used in many ways: if you are selling a service, launching a product, organizing a webinar or polling your audience.

With ConvertKit's visual automation tool, you can send targeted content at the right time, every time, all without having to worry about the journey of your subscribers.

How I use visual automation in ConvertKit

At No Sidebar, we offer a course called 30 days for a simpler life. When someone enrolls in the course, it is added to an automation that will activate an email every morning for 30 days.

You might wonder if that's all I use the ConvertKit automation tool, and the answer is "no". In fact, the tool is used for more than the administration of courses.

At the end of each article in No Sidebar, we show a subscription form that is connected to our ConvertKit account. Here is a screenshot to show you how it looks:

Typically, subscription forms and email lists are reserved for weekly newsletters, but they are also an opportunity to present a natural call to a friendly subscriber.

Because I want to be sensitive to the experience that No Sidebar readers have, I decided to place them in an automation at the time of registration that delivers two emails: one immediately and another two days later.

Here is a screenshot to show you how the first email looks:

This is a welcome email that also invites you to join the No Sidebar Facebook group and also like the No Sidebar Facebook page. This email has an opening rate of 50% with a click-through rate of 10%.

Two days later, they get a release for the course I mentioned earlier. Here is a screenshot showing how that email looks:

The numbers in this email are not that impressive, although they have an opening rate of 45% with a click-through rate of 5%. With more than 30,000 shipments, there are still 1,500 additional readers who have reached our sales page.

With the help of the automation tool within ConvertKit, can we grow the community and? Increase sales of our course, all without doing any work, apart from setting up emails.

This is a shining example of the mantra "Work smarter, not harder" that so many Internet marketers have been proclaiming for years. I have witnessed first-hand how powerful automation can be because after all, course sales have almost doubled since its implementation.

The bottom line

ConvertKit simply works and works well. I noticed a significant growth in my business while reducing the overhead and the time it takes to get there. Does not it sound intriguing?

Complete a sequence

Next, take a look at your list of automation rules for any "Complete a sequence" trigger. You want to use this to see if one sequence connects to another.

Now my new Sequence launches the subscribers when buying my book Authority: this is the goal of my Sequence. In the Sequence configuration there is an exclusion for all those who have purchased Authority:
