How to import Subscribers or Emai ld list From MailChimp to ConvertKit
How to import MailChimp subscribers to ConvertKit
LET US BEGIN.
1. Go to MailChimp and click on "lists".
2. Find the list you want to export and click on it.
3. Then at the top, click on "export".
4. This will show you a different screen and it will tell you that your export is being processed. Depending on the size of the list, processing could take from 30 seconds to 24 hours, so just check your email or refresh the page until you see it is complete and you can export it as a CSV file.
5. Download the file and continue and unzip it (on a Mac you can double click to unzip).
6. Log in to ConvertKit and go to "subscribers", then click on the "import subscribers" button on the right.
7. Now tell ConvertKit what label, form or segment you want to place these subscribers and drag the file from the search window to the designated space.
8. Once the CSV file has been loaded, it will tell the system which fields should match which field in ConvertKit. In this example, I compared the name and the email and left the rest blank, since I did not really need the other fields.
9. Then, simply click on "import subscribers" and that's it.
ConvertKit will tell you that it will send you an email once the import is complete. This means that it will not happen automatically, but those subscribers will go to any label, segment or form that you tell them to put.
